The G-SHOCK x CENTRAL FIRE STATION G7900 was designed to commemorate the Station’s 111th Anniversary and has been built to withstand the severe conditions faced by our frontliners.
Central Fire Station, also known as the Hill Street Fire Station, is Singapore’s oldest surviving fire station. Completed in 1909, the distinctive red-and-white brick building was gazetted as a national monument by the Preservation of Monuments Board on 18 December 1998. Still an active station, it also houses the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery which showcases the firefighting history of Singapore.
The Red G7900, dubbed the ‘G-Rescue’, was chosen to represent both Central Fire Station’s Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Services. The raised bricks adorning both straps are reminiscent of the distinctive ‘Blood & Bandage’ - brick and plaster facade of the station. The line art and text symbolises elements of the station and of the people that have served in Central since its establishment 1909. The Battenberg and ‘111’ callsign on the stainless steel strap keeper represents the generations of emergency vehicles that served our frontliners throughout the years. “111 Years of Saving Lives”, laser engraved on the case back commemorates this special occasion. Last but not least, the watch is presented in a custom box with a serialised Certificate of Authenticity.
